Aptitude Trust (registered charity 1115264) is committed to protecting your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

We may collect your name, email address, postal address, telephone number and donation details when you contact us, make a donation, or sign up to hear from us. We only collect what we need.
We use your information to respond to enquiries, process and acknowledge donations, claim Gift Aid where applicable, keep records required of a registered charity, and — only where you have agreed — to send you updates about our work.
We process your information on the basis of your consent, our legitimate interests as a charity, and to meet our legal obligations (for example, financial and Gift Aid records).
We do not sell your information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate (for example, payment processors), and only as far as necessary. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for example, Gift Aid records must be kept for the period HMRC requires).
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
We want to understand how our website is used so we can improve it — but only with your agreement. When you first visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use analytics. Nothing non-essential is switched on unless you choose “Accept”.
If you accept, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about how visitors use the site — for example which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from. Your IP address is anonymised, and this data is not used to identify you personally. You can decline, or change your mind at any time by clearing your browser’s data for this site.
We also use the Google Fonts service to display our typefaces, which involves a request to Google’s servers. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers. See our accessibility statement for related information.
